Judith Poirier vous invite dans le salon double de son appartement à Montréal pour une expérience multisensorielle. Bercée par les histoires familiales contées depuis son enfance et fascinée par les contes traditionnels, Judith vous emmène vous balader dans les quartiers typiques canadiens-français d’ici, du temps de l’enfance de ses parents, et rencontrer des personnages de contes traditionnels d’ailleurs.

Judith Poirier invites you into her salon double (double parlour) a classic feature of many Montreal apartments. Immersed in family stories since childhood and fascinated by traditional tales, Judith takes you on a journey through time. Without leaving her salon double, you will stroll through typical French-Canadian neighbourhoods of Montreal from the time of her parents’ childhood, and meet characters from traditional tales collected from anglophone and francophone storytellers.

Cet album double bilingue contient des histoires spécialement sélectionnées pour chaque auditoire (les contes traditionnels racontés en anglais proviennent des répertoires canadien-français et français et ceux racontés en français sont tirés de travaux ethnographiques non encore traduits en français).

In this double album are stories told in English and French. The folktales told in English are from French-Canadian and French repertoires. Those told in French are taken from works not translated into French until now.
